Dear Friends,

screening of A Taste of Passover on Sunday, April 16, 7:15 PM, followed by a
reception with live music. For tickets, please call (617) 369-3395. A Taste
of Passover was made possible thanks to generous support from WGBH Television
and New England Conservatory and this screening has also received their
generous support.
Kindly pass this e mail to as many friends as possible so that we can have a
great turnout for this event.
Join us for a unique film special-- a musical feast in celebration of
Passover! A Taste of Passover, a concert extravaganza, is hosted by
internationally renowned Broadway actor/singer Theodore Bikel, and also
features New York Cantor David Levine, Yiddishist Harriet Chasia Segal, and
over 150 musicians for Boston?s New England Conservatory. Crafted by
artistic director Hankus Netsky, founder and director of the world famous
Klezmer Conservatory Band, this program involves sacred, traditional,
uplifting music as well as favorite Passover drinking songs, silly seder
songs in home spun and concert versions. A Taste of Passover also includes
witty commentary written by humorist Moshe Waldoks, a demonstration on how to
make the perfect matzo ball, and the sounds of a gospel choir, klezmer band,
orchestra, children?s chorus, and soloists from New England Conservatory, all
in an intimate atmosphere of humor and festivity.
A Taste of Passover was filmed before a live audience in Jordan Hall at New
England Conservatory, a National Landmark, by Director Juan Mandelbaum and
Executive Producer Gerald Slavet. It is a product of Concert Productions.,
Inc. and Geovision.
Hope we see you there.
