Position Announcement for

"ARCHIVE LIBRARIAN"


Flexible position available for an experienced music librarian at a
non-profit recording project (encompassing 50 CDs) and archive of
American-Jewish music.  Responsibilities include:

Ordering of scores and parts from music publishers
Entry of new acquisitions into archive/database (cataloging)
Distributing scores and parts to artists, ensembles, production team etc.
Returning rental and loan materials
Day to day responsibility for archive/database: updating records, creation
of reports, etc.
Coordinating information flow with Music Coordinator and Director of
Marketing
Catalog and library research
Miscellaneous clerical work

Bachelor?s degree required, college level music degree preferred.
Experience with any of the following are desirable:

Music Publishing
Hebrew
Jewish music (eg: liturgical, classical, Yiddish theater)
FileMaker Pro
Email and Internet applications
Microsoft programs and applications
