Re: In defense of the recorder

Bending notes might be helpful to make a tune recognizably klezmerish, but I 
actually think it's one of the less important aspects. (While I have to admit 
that I wouldn't like doing without -- but that's about fun.)
And how about tsimbls, pianos, accordions, and many more?
