re Owen on the bouzouki today: "......a painted harlot....doused in
reverb...immolated on the altar of the tourist dollar...."
This image will haunt me for days to come!!!!
And , even better, it 's such a satisfying contrast to the pious
non-value-judgmental ethnomusicological statements one is always
supposed to be spousing in the 'ologist world....
