I also happened to turn on the TV just as Statman was doing the bumper spot.
A Chanukah miracle! Silly me, I thought maybe he would be a featured musical
guest (yeah, right) and watched another 30 minutes waiting for the musical
segment of the show, only to have it be...Beck.  More wasted resources.  Oh
well.
