Re: the Kabs rule

The Bartons -- coupled with Spike Jones -- were Mickey's inspiration. Their
1947 hit "Joe & Paul" was a parody of a well-known (to Jewish listeners)
clothing commercial, with original music. Their stuff on Apollo is truly
worth having -- "Tsauris" and "Cockeyed Jenny" among the titles. If you like
MK and can deal with wall-to-wall Yiddish, the stuff is wonderful -- really
edgy music.
