Regarding Yiddish cowboys, there is a short film "The Cowboy,"
produced in 1968 by Abe Wexler in which he creates a "spoof" in Yiddish of
the American cowboy. The film takes a scene from "Son of Oklahoma", a
1932 Hollywood feature and dubs Yiddish dialogue and music over the
action. For complete details check our website -
www.brandeis.edu/jewishfilm/index.html. It is a fun piece.
