Hi-- I've become associated with a cymbalom player in Toronto looking
for performance opportunities (including klezmer). Vladimir Gorodkine,
a Belorussian native, is an international prize-winning player.
His resume includes a three-year post as leader, artisitic director &
soloist of the internationally known "Belorussian Souvenir" folk
ensemble. Prior to that, Mr. Gorodkine was a soloist with the
Belorussian Radio and Television Instrumental Folk Ensemble, and the
State Belorussian Philharmonic. He holds a Master's degree in
percussion instruments and cymbalom performance from the State
Conservatory of Belarus. He is quite proficient in English, fluent in
Russian.
He currently performs with the Toronto-based Magic Sounds Duo with
accordianist Valery Samoylenko (available for performances, corporate
events, parties, etc.).
