>To celebrate the launching of ethnomusicology as an integral component of
>its master's and doctoral programs in musicology, the School of Music at The
>Ohio State University (Columbus) is hosting "Sounds and Sensibility," a
>series of events for the academic year 1998-99 featuring lectures,
>discussions, and concerts that explore diverse aspects and traditions of
>world music.

>Four colloquia, organized around prominent scholars invited from other
>institutions, will explore recent trends in ethnomusicology, considered as
