Re: un-dismayed surveyee

For the person who wants to learn how to lead services:

The Cantors Assembly (CAOffice (at) jtsa(dot)edu) sells Musical Siddurs and
tapes
edited by Pinchas Spiro. One is for Shabbat Morning, One for Shabbat
Afternoon and evening, one for weekdays, two for High Holidays and he is
soon coming out with a Festivals book and tape. His Nusach is always
correct, his accentuation and Hebrew is always perfect. The Siddurim
have complete Hebrew texts plus everything which is sung written out in
musical notation.

For Friday night, I recommend getting the B'nai Jeshurun (Upper West Side
of Manhattan don't have the address handy) tape. For music you should try
Gates of Singing published by UAHC available from Transcontinental music.

I would also suggest getting a good teacher/coach. E-mail directly with
your location and I would be happy to make some recommendations.

Good Luck.
