The release celebration will fill the club upstairs and downstairs with great
music and performance, including:

* the Lower East Side political big top of the Circus Amok
* Shashmaqam, playing traditional musics of Jews from the Bukharan region of
Central Asia (where Jews and Muslims have lived together for centuries)
* feminist cheerleading from X-Cheerleaders performance group; the Hasidic
New Wave ("Sun Ra meets Jimi Hendrix at Jewish Wedding" -- featuring Greg
Wall and Klezmatic Frank London)
* the Richard Khuzami Pan-Middle Eastern Ensemble with belly
dancer/percussionist Shamira; long-time performers at the Mogador Cafe's
Wednesday belly dancing nites (an East Village institution), playing Egyptian
and Armenian musics
* DJ Rekha will spin bhangra and dance beats 11pm and on in the downstairs
Late Night Hang

And we wouldn't be surprised if the Circus spills out into the halls and the
street!
