Dear Friends, We are happy to inform Mendelistn and Yiddishistn and 'New
Yorkistn' who reside in or around our fair state of an upcoming special
event - A Yiddish Musical Festival - sponsored by the Workmen's
Circle/Arbeter Ring which will take place on Wednesday, June 26th at 7
p.m. at Damrosch Park of Lincoln Center in Manhattan.  There will be no
admission charge, and all friends are invited.  Enjoyment and pleasure
are guaranteed.  Prominent stars like Theodore Bikel, Mike Burstyn, Andy
Statman and his orchestra, the West End Klezmorim, the Goldene Keyt
Chorale and others are featured.  Musical Director is Zalmen Mlotek.
Last year Itzak Perlman appeared as a surprise guest.  This year will
also have a surprise guest.  Inasmuch as many people expressed their
disappointment at not knowing about the concert previously, we are
pleased to do so now.  There will be other festivals upcoming in the
Greater New York area and we will keep you posted.  Cordially,
