Debbie Friedman at Carnegie Hall

It was the blizzard of the century, but 1700 people - many from outside
Manhattan - braved the elements to attend the Carnegie Hall debut concert
by Debbie Friedman. Over 2,000 tickets had been sold, and were it not for
the weather, a sellout was virtually assured for Debbie's 25th anniversary
concert. She performed with 2 backup vocalists, a string quartet and a
rhythm section consisting of piano, bass and percussion. It was a
sensational afternoon, and the audience leapt to its feet at the
conclusion of the concert demanding encore after encore. The concert was
recorded for a live album, which will be released later this year by
Sounds Write productions.
For those who missed this historic concert, there is no doubt that Debbie
will appear at Carnegie Hall - and other major venues - again and again.
