I'm not sure what GWAR have to do with Jewish music, but I must say that they
do indeed rock. And rock hard.
I saw them for the first time back in 1987 in New Jersey. There were about
30 people in the crowd, most of them skinheads - and grumpy skins at that.
Amusingly, the group proceeded to upset the skinhead squad more and more
with each new song and new batch of fake blood thrown into the crowd. There
was actually almost a skirmish, but GWAR chose to just make fun of them until
they decided to clean off their Fred Perry's and Sta Prest's and sulk home.
Ever since then, I've been hooked. Can you blame me?
Now, why ARE they on this list?
Just curious,
Brian C.
