Steve, the players are Andy STATMAN and David GORSS. They are fabulous
together and Andy Statman has long been known as one of the best mandolin
players in the world. He certainly is a superb clarinetist. I suggest
your friend check out the name Andy Statman in Schwann-Opus (the
catalogue is available in any record store). I've seen the recording but
I haven't gotten a chance to buy it yet, so I forget the label.
Incidentally, if you are interested in Klezmer Music, you might also
check out my band, the Machaya Klezmer Band. Our recording is carried by
the Workman's Circle catalogue and also available from Hatikva Music
International - a Jewish music superstore in Los Angeles.
