"SEPTEMBER SONGS: THE MUSIC OF KURT WEILL - Lou Reed, Nick Cave,
Elvis Costello, Betty Carter, William S. Burroughs, PJ Harvey, Brodsky
String Quartet, The Persuasions and a host of others celebrate many of the
composer's most celebrated songs including Mack the Knife, September Song
and Alabama Song. Singled out by Hitler as a corrupter of the Aryan race
with his "Jewish jazz" this cantor's son left Germany, with his wife Lotte
Lenya and ended up re-creating musical theatre on Broadway. Lavish designs
reflect the magic of the music and creative spirit of Weill.">

Hi - it's close to 3 am, and I have just finished several hours work -
and now I can say, without hesitation, the TORONTO JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL
is now on the Web - the resources includes general info, detailed
schedule (which includes full descriptions of every film - 24 this year),
ticket info and how to contact the organizers.
This festival is great, with award winning films from around the world,
and a good time will be had by all who attend. I was honoured to be
able to volunteer my skills to this worthy cause. The web pages aren't
fancy but they work (I hope <-: ).
Anyway, the url is:

PLEASE - please, spread around this note so *lots* of people find out
about the Festival - for people not from Toronto, the city is beautiful
in May, and the Festival is held right downtown in a hip strip, plenty of
hotels nearby, lots of nightlife (Bloor Cinema).
