As S. J. Perelman once said, "de gustibus ain't what dey used to be."
I saw the production in Cambridge before it went to Philadelphia and
New York and enjoyed it immensely. IMHO Hankus Netsky did a fine job
of adapting old standards and writing new music. As the NYTimes reviewer
pointed out, the geography song (set to "Rumania") is worthy of Gilbert
and Sullivan.
