Klez Kamp



The annual "KlezKamp" week of the YIVO Yiddish Folk Arts Program
Will take place Dec 22-28, 1993 at the Paramount Hotel in Parksville, NY.
Over 400 people attend with courses in Yiddish folk song, language,
klezmer music, dance, folklore, etc.

The following instruments are taught:
clarinet
accordion
bass
drums
banjo
piano
violin
mandolin
guitar
and orchestration.
Intensive workshops in technique, style, repertoire and arrangement of
klezmer music for solo instruments and ensembles.  Basic knowledge of
instrument is required.

There is lots of things to do there for both musicians and non-musicians.
Cost is about $600 for the week from Wed supper to Tues breakfast
including room, meals, classes and entertainment.

Nov 1, 1993, and this week always sells out.
