information about that concert.
Friends of Jewish Music concert series:

Debbie Friedman: In Concert!
Her power is enormous. Her warmth is infectious. Her teaching is
inspiring. Her music is sung in schools, summer camps, in youth
groups, and in synagogues throughout the world. Perhaps more than
any single individual in North America, Debbie Friedman through her
music has taught the words, the content, and the love of Judaism.
She is the voice of generations. Bring your family to this
unforgettable concert!

Los Tanyaderos: Sephardic Vistas
This dramatic multimedia concert combines vocal and instrumental
music with large-screen projections and lively narrative on
Sephardic culture. Mezzo-soproano Bonita Nahoum Jaros performs
Ladino cantigas and romances (songs and ballads) including pieces
from her own family repertoire. The other Tanyaderos ("players)
are highly specialized instrumentalists. John Bilezikijan is a
virtuoso of the oud (Middle Eastern lute), Frances Feldon is a
specialist on historic woodwinds, and Reza Torchizy is a master
tonbak (drum) player. Together they bring a typical Middle Eastern
flavor to our Sephardic evening.
