Greetings.  Today my site JUST began to receive this newsgroup,
so its regular readers haven't had a chance to get this news.

Concert, 17 November 1992 (Wednesday Night) 8 pm in Las Cruces, NM, USA
of the Mesilla Valley Community Band will include the premiere of my
composition "Call of the Shofar" for four trombones, which features
transcriptions of the shofar blasts as I learned them by aural tradition
(not per mis.nah Rosh Hashanah), and a double fugue on a high-holiday tune
and (from the calendar antipode) Khad Gadya.  I believe it's a free concert,
although I've never been to New Mexico, so I don't really know, but
in any case it should be a blast! :-)
