Hello, all.

I am new to the list, and have been quietly lurking for a few weeks,
trying to get the flavor of the correspondence.  I have many questions!
The first bit of information I seek is perhaps a little delicate.  If
anyone is willing to respond, you may certainly write to me privately
with any potentially sensitive information.  I will be discreet!

I'm curious about the practical aspects of music positions in
supplementary schools across the country - hours, responsibilities, pay
scale and schedule, expectations, and respect issues, including
relationships with Cantor and Clergy.  Coming to this list three years
late, I feel a lot ignorant, and my experience as a Jewish music
educator, in terms of knowledge of other stuff than the music
(administrative), is quite limited.
