Carol - Why don't you try singing some all time favorites with them like:
Light One Candle, Not By Might, Shir Hama'alot (in a round), Master of All
Things, Elu Devarim (Klepper), are you singing with them at holiday times or
just when scheduled? Reform synagogue? The older kids also like the Adon
Olam that starts slowly and builds and builds in speed (Uzi's version).
However, I'm sure that the principal would probably like you to cover some
pieces from services, etc. Name that Tune is also a favorite of the kids
here. They also like to write "raps" or their own words to songs they know
using themes like Shabbat, peace, family, tikkun olam, etc.
Good luck.
Meris
