[HANASHIR:4546] RE: Chanukah Songs and songleading

For anyone interested - You can find most of the traditional standards
clearly sung in well-enunciated Hebrew with several contemporary pieces and
a couple in Yiddish, on my HAPPY CHANUKAH! recording available from Tara -
pi's used in many JCCs as background ambiance -as well as excellent preschool
Chanukah songs specifically composed for the young'uns by Jackie Cytrynbaum
on LATKES and HAMENTASHEN - the very first modern children's album that came
out in 1980 and is now all over the world. Many songs like HOW MANY CANDLES,
THE MARCHING MACABEES, CLEANING THE TEMPLE, I WONDER WHGERE THE OIL IS and
THE LATKE SONG (look at me I'm a Chanukah Latke by then-nursery school
director Rosa Kovalski) are classics and people think they are traditional.
