[HANASHIR:4441] opening the woprld to great music

it still gives me shivers when i think of the amazing stories that donny 
told,he seemed to tell them like he had experianced them himself. I tried to 
tell them first in a mirror but could not duplicate the intensity he had.I 
still cant believe the experiance i had at hava nashira.It was hard to come 
home and not be able to change all 1000 families at my temple to feel the way 
i did.I am in conservative temple so music is not a biggy here.But slowly i 
have been breaking people with the music they here me sing,and finally at 
choir one day the cantor was looking for new music and the whole choir said 
take what allan sings and all of a sudden 6 new songs i brought back are now 
being sung at our 8.00pm service.We added a 6.15 service called the carbach 
service,which has broughT the younger crowd in and the rabbi is happy with 
the songs and music now being sung.It has taken me 6 months of talking with 
the youth commision abouth starting a family concert series with new talent 
being brought in and after playing 1 song from steve dropkins albumn at every 
meeting they now are going to adopt it.His albumn is my childerns favorite to 
listen to.i have a 7year old and a 15 year old and we play it all the time.My 
music juices have opened up and am performing which i had stopped for 18years 
so i have everyone to thank for the great experiance i had in opening my life 
again to jewish music.allan zwang.
