[HANASHIR:4328] cantorial studies at home

I would like to hear from anyone who has completed or is in the process of 
completing cantorial certification with a supervisor in their own city (without 
having to move to or commute to NYC).  If I am to achieve this goal it will 
have to be while staying in Montreal, but I lack detailed information as to how 
to go about it.  I posted a similar question a few weeks back and got some kind 
responses with e-mail addresses to contact.  However, I never heard from these 
people and am still in the dark.
