[HANASHIR:4132] Re: Lu Y'Hi

>From the newest Young Judea Shiron:

Originally intended as a Hebrew rendition of the Beatles' "Let It Be:",
this song was written just before the Yom Kippur War by Naomi Shemer,
and it became the "national anthem" of that period.

There is a white sail in the distance
facing a black and heavy cloud.
All that we shall ask: let it be!
And through the windows of the evening flicker festive lights so proud.
All that we shall ask: let it be!

Let it be, let it be, O please let it be,
All that we shall ask, let it be.

What answering calls do I hear
voice of shofar and of drum,
All that we shall ask: let it be!
May you hear among them a paryer also from me.
All that we shall ask: let it be!

In the small and shadowed neighborhood
is a small house, red-roofed its look.
All that we shall ask: let it be!
At summer's end, the end of the way,
let them return to this nook.
All that we shall ask: let it be!
