[HANASHIR:4103] Re: Universal Jewish Music License

I second and third Steve Dropkin's and Laura Berkson's comments. Jeff Klepper
has a wonderful idea whose time has certainly arrived. We are all guilty'' of
using music we believe is traditional - or lazy about getting release
forms/permission etc - dealing with AKUM is often a pain and can put off many
recording projects, and often it is too difficult to keep in touch with the
people who record our songs. I often give permission for small projects, etc
etc and know that a fair no are recorded and erroneously credited etc.The
people who are most considerate about royalties are friends and colleagues.
If we can all work together on this one we will all benefit. Adrian et al,
keep us up to date on developments.
