[HANASHIR:4053] Re: Lower Keys

Dear Stephanie,

I've decided to reply to you using the whole list, because I think I may very
well speak for several of the people on the list.

I am very concerned that you feel we are rude to each other here. We don't
always agree with each other, but that doesn't mean that we disLIKE each other.
There are people from all types of backgrounds here. Not everyone is a singer
or
cantor. Some of us (like me) are teachers or simply people who love Jewish
music.

It is very special that you know at age 15 that you want to be a cantor. I
strongly believe that whatever gifts G-d gave us, it is our responsibility to
use
them in the most positive way to enhance this world. If you have a gift for
singing, then there can be no more appropriate way to use it than to present
prayers with it. This is also what attracted me to this list. Everyone here is
involved with Jewish music - music unlike the "Oh baby I want your body" stuff
one hears on the FM stations. I hope you will be able to find that element amid
all the technical or annoyed or annoying stuff that can appear here and decide
to
stay with us.

Chag same'ach,

Judy
