First of all, thank you for all the comments, both brickbats and
bouquets, re: my recent remarks. Chazzan wants to be enlightened as to
my reason.  First of all, Kansas City is not a God forsaken place, and I
wouldn't have mentioned it except our Debbie F. was going to be the star
attraction.  I guess the real problem is me.  I am in way over my head
on 95% of what you are all talking about.  I have no control over what
is being sung in my synagogue, and that in itself is very frustrating
because I have no chance to clue in the amateur choir about the stuff
you all are pontificating (nice Jewish word) about.  I still love all of
you, and certainly hope to get back to H-N in the next year or so for
the joy of the music, although at 75 the buildings seem SO far apart,
and I would probably be stoned by those who took exception to what I
