[HANASHIR:3924] Re: This List

I agree. I often use the "delete" key. In the final analysis, "nitpicky" is a
matter of opinion. There are some things that are very important to some and of
no importance to others. I, for instance, am not a performer. Don't have the
vocal chords for it. Does that mean that I need to identify as "nitpicky" the
various posts dealing with issues that pertain to performing? I am, however, a
teacher of Hebrew, and just as I would find it annoying, at the very least, to
hear a foreign speaker singing "Michael Roo your boot ashore," (How's about
"It's a ground old Frog??" or "I'm a Junkie Diddle Dandy?") I find certain
phrases and pronounciations of Hebrew in some of the modern Jewish music
annoying, as much as I dearly love the artists (and anyone who knows me can
attest to the fact that I DEARLY love the artists). I did not find the comments
in the least bit nitpicky; I thought the discussion was very kindly and
respectfully handled.
In any case, the point has been made. Let's move on now, okay?
