Friends--
I'm a little concerned that our sense of "helping" community is being
underminded by reality. Stay with me a moment on this one and I'll make my
point.
I read and get many requests on this list for music and resources. Often the
music I receive has errors in it, sometimes multiple mistakes. This doesn't
mean I'm not grateful to the person who sent it to me. We live in an
imperfect world afterall.
I believe that we should ALL check the text and the words we receive and send
before we distribute and/or type something out. Often I see "typos" in our
mutual email on this list. While I agree that we need to be as correct as
humanly possible, I don't think anyone is going out of their way to post
mistakes or incorrect information here at all!
I hope that we can keep the spirit of sharing alive, but not at the expense
of making anyone afraid or embarassed that they might havepassed on "bad
hebrew", or just made a simple "typo". I'm sure who ever makes those mistakes
feels badly enough that it happened at all.
Hoping we're never too critical of each other......
Shana Tovah--
