[HANASHIR:3878] Shefa's Birchat

Looks like the answer to this is almost answered - can't remember if the chant
is on one of Shefa's albums or not, but the words are:

Brich Rachamana
Malka d'alma
Marai d'hai pita

(x2)

You are the source of life for all that is
And your blessing flows through me.
(x2)

The top part means Blessed is the compassionate/womb-like one, Ruler of the
Universe, provider of this bread.

Also note that the 2nd line of the english words is *meant* to be blessing and
NOT blessings. Shefa teaches that she wanted to convey that we are the vessels
for all blessing, rather than referring to lots of separate blessings for
different things, so anyone teaching this chant might like to include that
drash for extra accuracy.

Shanah Tovah to you all
(and Hi there Fran!)
I'm now back in the UK, but hope to be making frequent state-side visits in the
coming year, perhaps with greater need to be back there by next Summer.

Shalom,
Rachel Gurevitz

PS. Shefa has a new chant for Birchat called Poteach et Yadecha - it is on her
brand new album, Hymnanence, listed as Open Hand and is very beautiful.
