Elliot--
I truly feel that the answer lies to your question within your own leading
style, and the vision of what you want your program to be like. You have
already defined the answers and many HNer's have illuminated really excellent
ideas in which to use them. ( I need to try some of these myself!! ) I think
now you need to decide which of these models fits your style best. Their are
several good books available that I know of. First is the new UAHC Shireinu.
A very good cross-section of material from liturgy to contemporary. Another
was the UAHC Camp Goldman Songbook. A great book, HUNDREDS of songs! But
remember, NO BOOK is the be all and end all version. Find the one that fits
the bill. You know your potential audience best. Call a couple of colleagues,
or friends, or people on this list. Process your goals to them. I think the
results will be unbelievable!
Have a cool Elul!!
Shabbat Shalom--
