I too am just sitting down to go through over a week's worth of e-mails (CAJE 
was awesome!).  It's a blessing that Rick is safe.  It's frightening that 
acts of violence can happen anywhere, any time.  It's also frightening that 
it's easy to become numb to the 'same old story.'  Just today, there was news 
coverage of back-to-school at Columbine High School.  Just a few months ago 
there was anniversary coverage of the Oklahoma City tragedy.  And so on.   
May we NEVER consider an act of violence just another act of violence!
