Hanashir friends,

I feel awkward doing this but I would appreciate all your prayers this
Shabbat.   I was diagnosed with breast cancer two weeks ago and will
have pretty intense surgery this Friday.  I feel a lot of positive
energy and strength from all of you through this list and a special
connection because of our shared love of Jewish music.

This is NOT how I intended to prepare for my first high holidays as
cantorial soloist...
