[HANASHIR:3506] Shalom Aleichem Waltzes

        David Shneyer wrote the Shalom Aleichem Waltz back in the 1970's and, 
as mentioned, its available on his "American Chai" (with the Fabrengen 
Fiddlers) tape/cd - a must buy, as are all of David's recordings (available 
through SoundsWrite and Tara)! I'll be a student of David's at his music 
workshop this coming week at the Jewish Renewal Kallah in Oregon.  I also 
have a songbook of David's songs entitled "Psalmsongs" - must have been 
published in the late 70's.  E-mail him and perhaps he still has copies in 
print.
        May I also suggest the lovely waltz tempo'd Shalom Aleichem by 
Michael Shapiro on his beautiful tape "Shabbos Songs" - all compositions by 
him.  Incredible voice and wonderful melodies.  This and his 5 other
