Hi everyone. the guy who picks up our mail at our PO box mail for the
synagouge gave me th CAJE brochure last week. geee I guess it is too late
to sign up. it says by april and June at the latest. sigh. I am going to
try to find someone to talk to and see if I can come over for just a day or
two. columbus is only about 3-4 hours away from me and it would be so
useful to try to go to a few sessions or just the idea booths. I went to
the one day lay educators meeting when CAJE was in Bloomington Indiana a
few years ago. at that point I had only been given info about the one day
meeting and had no idea it was a week long event. I was so mad that I didnt
know about this educators dream. now I know what it is and it has been far
away until now. hope I can still get over for a bit of it. I know you all
will love it.
By the way our family is on vacation. we are travelin around the
midatlantic We are on vacation and when the scenery isnt great I am
catching up on email. We drive alot so my husband gave me a laptop for my
birthday. We just left the Buffalo New york area, we visited friends and
saw niagra falls. they were beautiful. we are heading south for the
mountains of West Virginia. If any of you all live around there or know of
any great places to see you can email me and let me know. We are driving
through Pennsylvania through Pittsburgh today. We are headed for Seneca
rock National recreation area. we think we will be in the Morgantown,WV
area on friday and saw there is a synagouge there. I found their number on
the UAHC website and will try to call tomorrow and see where the synagouge
is. the web site said they have services friday night at 8PM. I hope we can
go. I wonder if they are singers. I hope so.
I miss you all but I am still listening to my tapes, especially on these
long car trips. I have Danny's cassette "Wasting time with Harry
Davidowitz". It is great. The whole family enjoyed it and my 10yr old son
enjoyed singing along to the melodies he knew. I played some of the songs
we sang in the cabins the first day at HN for a friend from Israel (lives
in Buffalo area now) and she loved them.
Sorry to ramble but I am feeling a bit disconected right now, and miss you all.
shalom,
Carol
