[HANASHIR:3393] RE: HANASHIR digest 589

Thanks everyone for the choir leads. Keep thinking about the secular
stuff, too.

I'm realizing from many of your comments what an ideal setup I have. We
would never schedule a choir during lunch, or make children who don't want
to sing in a choir sing. We have this amazing music teacher, Shira
Schwartz, who you might know through the OSRUI or Blue Star dance camps,
who puts on operas with each of our classes-the kids do the narrating,
singing, instrumentation, dancing, acting, and wear costumes. I overheard
a parent praising our day school by saying, "Could you imagine a child
graduating who had any amount of stage fright? Wouldn't happen!"
Hopefully this offsets our weaknesses in spelling :) which for some
reason seems to be on the forefront of parents' concerns for their child
(we're working on this attitude!).

Shabbat Shalom!

Wendy
