Wendy, it's very ambitious to do SATB with middle schoolers, particularly as 
it's not likely you'll have any or many basses.  Soprano-alto-baritone is 
more typical for that age group.  In fact, some of your boys will still be 
altos.  But I'll be very interested in hearing how things turn out if you 
try 4-part music.  (I need to stick with the easy stuff for my Youth 
Choir--unison, rounds, and 2-part--because while the kids are in grades 3-8, 
most of them are in grades 3-5...)
