First of all, thank you to everyone who wrote back last time when I asked
for the translation of "ki va me'od." Yesterday in camp I had decided to
teach it, and I had these visions of little evil sugarplum fairies
dancing about in my head insisting, "you will never be able to do this
song!!! It will be a bust! You will never recreate HN!!! HAHAHA."
because similar tunes in the past have occaisionally... busted. But, I
went in determined to teach it anyway. I got to the first group (of
third and fourth grade girls) and it was working ok when we got to the
lilili section and suddenly an angel named Samantha jumped up and did a
little dance in front of everybody! She quickly became embarrassed and
sat back down but I encouraged her and several people joined her. Soon
the whole group was up and dancing and the song lasted a good 5-10
minutes! I was almost crying I was so happy. Similar things happened in
the groups following and it was just so awesome. I don't know what it is
about that song that makes people want to get up and dance, but YAY!!!
Thanks everybody again for an awesome time at HN and giving me the
inspiration to pull that off yesterday!
