Hi to all of you,

I've been writing a letter in my head, about my Hava Nashira experience
... this song (written Tuesday 08 June 1999) explains the delay in
putting those thoughts onto paper (or I suppose I should say, onto
electrons).

All the verses have at least a germ of truth, although some have been
exaggerated for effect.


All verses have the same lines 1, 2,& 5, just change lines 3 & 4.

Sometimes life seems to get so tough
Hava Nashira wasn't long enough

And reality hit me with a thud

My voice mail messages all were erased
I found cheques bouncing all over the place

The neighbour's dog knocked the garbage over
Chewed the chicken bones & then ran for cover

I couldn't find the floor for all of the toys
The kids aren't making music, they're just making noise

"Who gets the front seat" - no one can choose
And my daughter lost her soccer shoes

The school picnic is some time this week
But the notice is playing hide and seek

I missed garbage pickup day
The next one is a week away

Our shul's AGM is tomorrow night
And there's going to be a great big fight

One patient died after so many years
Another's biopsy turned out as we feared

My sister's husband is pretty sick
They say he won't get better too quick

There's a hundred e-mails to read tonight
All from lonely Hava Nashirites

Well even if everything is going wrong
At least I can always share this song
