Meris - the 2 you mention sound like good possibilities. Do you have the
"Prince of Egypt" soundtrack? there is probably something appropriate on
there. the song with the la la la la di la la part comes to mind, but there
might be an instrumental track that will work (I always skip the ones that I
can't sing along with :) )
also check out Doug Cotler's cd "a rose in December" - I seem to recall some
desert sounding stuff in the first few tracks
of course there's lots of Israeli songs that would be perfect if you have
recordings of them or can play them. e.g. Yamin us'mol, sa'enu, etc.
