Here's a question for all you music educators out there. My 5th grade (at
the day school where I teach) is doing a Chumash Celebration (yes... another
celebration). I have been asked to provide .... are you ready? "Walking
through the desert background music." What comes to mind is some kind of
instrumental middle-eastern stuff; what I HAVE in the house is some Ofra
Haza, Fran Avni's new "World Beat" CD... and I'm just wondering if you have
anything on the tip of your tongue that might work for this. I probably
need about 10 minutes of playing time which the teacher will pause now and
then.
