[HANASHIR:3035] Keeping the Lines Open

As owner and moderator of this list, I would like to ask those of you who
will be attending the Hava Nashira workshop this year (which I,
unfortunately, will not be able to do) to keep the rest of us on the list
informed and share with us impressions, lessons, special moments, reactions,
comments, etc.

Of course, if Gerry Kaye lets Hava Nashira keep growing as exponentially as
it has, then perhaps there won't be anyone on the list who isn't going some
not to distant year in the future...

To those of you that are attending for the first time: make the most of
every precious moment. Meet people, learn, sing, pray, take a quiet walk,
jam, gripe and complain about the always behind schedule and lack of
sleep...and have a wonderful time.

Olin-Sang-Ruby Union Institute camp is a special place, and the people who
work there to bring you Hava Nashira, along with the faculty, work very hard
to bring it all together. Treat them with respect and kindness and patience.
And thank them for making this workshop a reality every year. When it's
over, provide them with honest feedback-because they do listen and do hear
what attendees have to say, and the program reflects that as it changes and
grows.
