I am contracted to teach music in a supplemental sunday school. I am also
contracted to teach music in a day school. I am contracted to be a choral
director as well. I am often asked to do family ed music programs in other
shuls. As long as I uphold my relationsihp with said contracts and do the
job I'm being paid to, there is no problem accepting music jobs at other
places whether they be other shuls, jcc's, federation events, etc.
Perhaps the town I live in which doesn't have many jewish musicians just
expects to "share the wealth." There's never been a problem here.
Good luck.
