[HANASHIR:2984] Re: High Holiday music

hi-

talk to me at Hava. I have sung the HH for the last three years at my
temple. Each year it gets easier and more cohesive. The first year I was
a little overwhelmed by the sheer volume of music. Yamim Noraim was a HUGE
help. (It's available from Trans Continental) I don't know the minhag of
your temple or synagogue. Do you have a choir sing as well? Is there an
accompanist? I have suggestions on how to simplify it and yet keep the
music. find me at Hava and we can talk for a bit.

BTW, water on the bimah is a big no-no. I would think that would be in bad
taste at any temple or synagogue. I simply kept my water off stage and in
the wings. (We are in an auditorium) I most certainly did have to drink
some water during the service. However, I waited for a long readers passage
and quietly slipped off stage to drink the water out of sight of the
congregation.

Looking forward to talking with you at H.N.
