[HANASHIR:2923] choir endowment

To those on the list experienced in choir directing or choral singing,

I am helping to put together a grant proposal to a foundation which is
interested in setting up an endowment fund for our synagogue choir.  I am
trying to anticipate the needs of the choir -- risers, chairs, music,
sightreading workshops -- and wonder if anyone with choral experience can
add anything to this list.  I would also like to know if there is a Jewish
choral event which invites synagogue choirs to participate.  I would like to
include the possibility of arranging for the choir to attend such an event.
