[HANASHIR:2783] Re: Colorado tragedy

Joel--

At services last night our Rabbi read a piece that the UAHC had faxed around
to member congregations. After a minute of silent meditation, the Cantor and
I led a version of "Oseh Shalom" to underscore the moment. The message of
peace worked really well. The version of the song, though a brand new
redition, was a very powerful and heartfelt.

This is truely a most trying experience for all Americans and especially
young people. This was a discussed topic in my Jr. Choir this morning as
well. It seemed that the message(s) of the music, and their particular
meanings were very helpful towards easing the moment.
