[HANASHIR:2630] Re: Adonai S'fatai

In our alternate monthly Shabbat morning service I co-lead in our Conservative
synagogue in San Francisco, we sing the Amidah aloud as a community until the
end of the Kedushah - a variant of chanting the Amidah called the "heicheh
Kedusha" ("loud" Kedusha) then continue silently until the end, often
repeating a singable selection (Yismechu, Vetecgezenah, etc.) It feels "very
right" to chant the Adonai S'fatai Tiftach together in this context. Our
favorite versions are the lovely two part version by Hanna Tiferet Siegel on
her Olamama tape or Shefa Gold's chant.
