[HANASHIR:2505] Re: following the Torah, Jewish Gospel

Re: Torah hakafot: The Richard Silverman "Eitz Chayim Hi" (Shalom, Shalom)
is also excellent - plus one of the verses is in English, so even more
people participate in the singing of it. Lots of energy - 4 guitar
chords.

Re: Jewish Gospel: run, don't walk and find Noah Budin's "Hallelujah Land"
(Tara has it). He has some astounding Jewish gospel-like numbers on it,
including the title cut, Early in the Morning (Late at Night), and Joshua's
Band. Noah is a songster out of Cleveland, and made a big splash at CAJE
last year. Julie Silver sings a lovely duet with him and back-up on this
album. It's my family and choir's current favorite and we're going to do a
"sermon in song" with some of these pieces (after I get his permission, of
course!)
